Business Context
Our Investment Banking team is a leading global franchise with over 500 professionals in North America, Europe and Asia. We provide our corporate and institutional clients with capital markets and financial advisory services and integrated solutions.
We're looking for talented individuals to join our London Investment Banking team, currently operating in four sector coverage groups; (1) Power, Utilities and Energy, (2) Communications and Media, (3) Verticalized Software, Data and Analytics, and (4) Mining. As an Investment Banking Summer Analyst, you will be a key contributor to our rapidly growing franchise working in a dynamic, fast-paced, professional environment.
Position Overview
As an Investment Banking Summer Analyst, you will be exposed to a wide variety of clients, sectors, financial services and products, and work with various integrated teams that will provide you with the necessary skills to develop, grow and thrive in Investment Banking.
The internship will begin with one week of formal training for all London TD summer analysts that includes orientation and interactive technical training. This training is designed to teach you the building blocks of financial institutions, Excel, and PowerPoint, which will prepare you for the next nine weeks of the internship. Summer Analysts will have the opportunity to engage with bankers at all levels across all teams. Summer Analysts will also be able to participate in social networking events with one-another as well as colleagues across all divisions on an on-going basis to experience our culture and integrate with our Firm.
How You Will Contribute
Research and analyze clients' financial situations, industry and market data
Apply valuation tools to assess opportunities
Support preparing external client presentation, proposals and internal memos
Aid senior team members with idea generation and in M&A transactions execution
Work proactively across multiple product/industry groups and geographies
Who We Are Looking For
Pursuing a bachelor's degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
A genuine interest in corporate finance and the sectors TD covers
Results driven, proven academic excellence and strong interpersonal skills
Strong numerical and analytical skills, and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment across teams and regions and deliver accurate results under time pressure
Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on being a team player
A willingness to learn and demonstrate a growth mindset
Previous work experience in corporate finance or investment banking considered an asset
Fluency in at least one additional European language is advantageous
Demonstrated leadership (i.e., sports, clubs, extracurricular activities, and philanthropy, etc.)
