Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Responsibilities

Provision and configure Azure resources following standardized deployment models.
Automate tasks using Terraform and scripts; maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, ArgoCD).
Implement cloud security measures (Azure Defender, firewalls, encryption, identity management).
Monitor, patch, and update cloud workloads to ensure reliability and reduce technical debt.
Respond to operational incidents and perform root cause analysis.
Maintain operational documentation and update procedures.
Mentor junior engineers and support cross-functional teams.
Propose improvements for reliability, efficiency, and cost optimization.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience: Minimum 5 years in cloud engineering with Microsoft Azure.

Certifications:

Mandatory: AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate)

Optional: AZ-500, AZ-700, KCNA, CKA

Technical Skills:

Advanced Azure networking (VNets, NSG, Hub&Spoke, Private Endpoints, WAF)
Azure governance (Management groups, EntraID, PIM, Policies, Cost management)
Databases: Azure SQL, MongoDB
Containers & Kubernetes
Monitoring & Logging (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry)

Soft Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, communication, Agile, cross-functional collaboration

Languages: English (C1); French/Dutch (B1 optional)
