Job Specifications

We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of proven expertise in cybersecurity to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate must be skilled in vulnerability assessments, remediation, and security tools and technologies to ensure the integrity and protection of our organization's digital infrastructure. As a Security Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, manage security initiatives, and leverage advanced technologies to safeguard against evolving threats.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and scanning to identify security risks using tools.
Develop and execute remediation plans to mitigate identified vulnerabilities.
Design, configure, and manage Palo Alto firewalls to secure network traffic.
Monitor and optimize firewall rules for enhanced security and performance.
Implement and manage Microsoft Defender to protect endpoints from malware and cyber threats.
Strengthen overall endpoint security posture with Trend Micro solutions.
Deploy, monitor, and manage Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to identify potential security breaches.
Analyze and respond to security alerts in a timely manner.
Use SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or others) to aggregate, correlate, and analyze log data for identifying security events.
Investigate incidents and provide detailed root cause analyses with actionable recommendations.
Assist SOC analysts in responding to security incidents and managing escalations.
Provide strategic input into improving monitoring, incident categorization, and response processes.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, frameworks, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Provide training and awareness to employees on security protocols and practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity.
Proficiency in vulnerability scanning tools and endpoint protection solutions (Defender, Trend Micro).
Expertise in managing Palo Alto firewalls and configuring IDS tools.
Strong knowledge of SIEM platforms with experience in log aggregation and security event analysis.
Practical experience working in a SOC environment, including incident handling and escalation.
Solid understanding of network protocols, cloud security, and system hardening techniques.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM, or equivalent) are preferred.
