Job Title: Financial Analyst
Location: Washington, DC 20060
Shift: 8:30am - 5:00pm EST
Duration: 3 months (13 weeks)
Pay rate: $35.00 - $38.00 an hour on W2
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and validate financial statements, budgets, forecasts, pricing, and other financial data.
Assist Senior Financial Analyst with capital request ROI and service line analyses.
Review departmental operating statements monthly to identify budget variances.
Monitor actual revenue and expense balances monthly, extract data from financial systems including Lawson and clinical accounting systems.
Generate management reports (e.g., bi-weekly overtime, FTE, new hires/separations, accounts payable, service agreements) for departmental distribution.
Assist in training employees on budgeting processes and monthly variance analysis.
Design and develop financial models and databases.
Execute budget-related special projects as needed.
Required Competencies:
Strong knowledge of budgetary policies, procedures, and regulations.
Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration/Management.
Minimum 3 years of experience in budgeting or analytical administrative roles.
Workplace & Compliance Requirements:

May be required to float between the hospital and affiliate hospitals
Valid state license required
