Location: Onsite in Pleasanton, CA
W2 Contract Duration: 6 Months, potential to extend or convert to permanent

Required Skills & Experience
Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and JVM development
Advanced object-oriented programming and solid exception handling
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Quarkus, and web technologies
Skilled in developing/maintaining REST APIs
Deep understanding of 12-factor app principles
Proficient with Git, GitHub, and GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD
Experience with Apache Kafka and PostgreSQL
Ability to leverage cloud platforms (Azure / OCI)
Background in Salesforce development (SFDC/SFMC) or similar
Desired Skills & Experience
Front-end exposure: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Experience with Shopify, SFCC, Stibo, or related commerce/marketing platforms
Familiarity with MongoDB databases
DevOps tools: Chef, Jenkins, Puppet, ArgoCD
Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS/GKE)
Skilled using Nagios, New Relic, GCP, or Splunk for alerting/monitoring
Experience in API management and microservices design
Hands-on knowledge of RabbitMQ
What You Will Be Doing
Your daily work will center on building, optimizing, and supporting backend systems. You'll design and maintain RESTful APIs, manage cloud-based and enterprise databases, and drive continuous integration and delivery workflows. You'll interpret data flows using Kafka, contribute to DevOps automation, and collaborate with front-end and platform developers. While most time will be hands-on development, you'll also engage in team discussions, code reviews, and technical troubleshooting--driving actionable outcomes on each sprint.
