Referment is working with an exciting early-stage fintech that's on a mission to build the world's first instant and open global payments network. This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground floor of a company that's tackling one of the biggest challenges in financial services today.

As the first engineering hire, you'll work directly with the founder to design, build and launch the core platform. Expect a fast-paced, hands-on role where you'll write code daily, ship quickly using modern tools and AI, and influence key architectural decisions that will shape the future of the business.

What You'll Do

Build backend services and APIs in C#
Integrate with payment providers and external systems
Contribute to eventual front-end development (React)
Collaborate directly with the founder on product and technical strategy
Ship fast using AI to design, code, debug and deliver at pace

What We're Looking For

Strong C# development experience (non-negotiable)
Comfort across backend, frontend, DevOps, and systems integration
High-agency, entrepreneurial mindset - you take pride in your work
Excited by using AI to build faster and smarter
(Desirable) Experience in payments/fintech, enterprise architecture (DDD, CQRS, microservices)
(Desirable) Ambition to be a founder or early-stage leader in the future
