About the Role
We're seeking an experienced IT/OT Infrastructure Engineer to join our Operations & Maintenance team, supporting the digital backbone of our offshore wind farm operations. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of information technology and operational technology in the rapidly growing renewable energy sector.
As our IT/OT Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, and performance of critical systems that enable safe and efficient wind farm operations. You'll maintain and develop the infrastructure supporting our control, supervision, and monitoring systems across turbines, offshore and onshore substations, and operational facilities.
What You'll Do
Maintain & Monitor - Manage IT/OT infrastructure including servers, network devices, SCADA systems, and telecommunications equipment that keep our wind farm running 24/7
Secure Critical Systems - Oversee OT cybersecurity in line with industry standards (IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NIS2) to protect our operational environment
Collaborate Across Teams - Work closely with turbine technology suppliers (Siemens, Vestas, GE), transmission system operators, and internal operational teams
Get Hands-On - Participate in commissioning activities and be ready for work trips to offshore installations for maintenance and inspections
Technical Leadership - Provide SCADA and IT/OT expertise to Asset Integrity and Performance Management teams
What You'll Bring
Essential
Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
2-3+ years maintaining IT/OT systems, preferably in energy, industrial, or offshore sectors
Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, IEC 61850)
Solid networking expertise with Cisco solutions (routing, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, redundancy)
Experience with Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and backup systems
Familiarity with PLCs, RTUs, and IEDs from vendors like Siemens, ABB, Schneider, or GE
Understanding of OT cybersecurity principles
Strong technical English communication skills
Nice to Have
Offshore or renewable energy project experience
Industry certifications (Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Security+, IEC 62443)
GWO certification or willingness to complete offshore safety training
