Job Specifications

We're looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team in Toronto for a 12-month contract. In this role, you'll bring an engineering mindset to reliability, automation, and system performance--collaborating across teams to ensure stability, visibility, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

Define and implement SRE best practices for monitoring, alerting, and reliability testing
Work with development teams to ensure reliable deployments and production-readiness
Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and system health improvements
Automate processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual operations
Support deployments of software, automation tools, and infrastructure platforms
Debug complex production issues, ensuring proactive system management

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in Software Development, SRE, or DevOps
Hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot) and REST API development
Proficient with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins preferred)
Experience working with SQL databases (MSSQL, MySQL) and cloud-native applications (Azure/AWS/OpenShift)
Skilled in monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace
Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, application, and data layers
Excellent communication and collaboration in cross-functional environments
Financial Services experience--especially in Capital Markets or Wealth Management--is an asset

Nice to Have

Dashboarding with Grafana
Familiarity with Snowflake, Informatica, Databricks, ServiceNow, PagerDuty, Kafka, or IBM MQ
