Test Manager (SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud)

Location: North London (Local Authority)

Day Rate: PS700/day (Inside IR35)

Contract: 3 month rolling (expected to last 12 months)

Hybrid Working: 1-2 days per week onsite

We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead the full testing capability for a local authority ERP transformation project, migrating from a Legacy SAP system to SAP S/4HANA. This role requires robust, hands-on experience of managing testing for an SAP SaaS solution, ideally SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

The Test Manager will take ownership of the project Test Strategy and be accountable for leading all testing activities, ensuring a controlled and high-quality delivery. This is a leadership role that goes beyond analysis and coordination, requiring a proven track record of shaping and driving the end-to-end testing agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and own the Test Strategy for the entire programme.
Lead and manage the full testing capability across all phases (system, unit, integration, load, performance, and UAT).
Coordinate and direct 3rd parties and business stakeholders during testing events.
Ensure structured test planning, execution, and reporting to support go-live readiness.
Drive quality assurance and risk management through effective test governance.

Skills & Experience Required:

Established experience as a Test Manager on SAP ERP transformation projects.
Strong background in SAP SaaS testing, preferably SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
Proven track record of writing Test Strategies and leading full testing functions.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across business and technical teams.
Experience in the public sector or local authority environment is highly desirable.
