Position: Scrum Master

Location: Onsite - St. Louis, MO

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team onsite in St. Louis, MO, supporting a state client project. The Scrum Master will facilitate Agile ceremonies, coach teams on Agile best practices, remove impediments, and ensure alignment between stakeholders and delivery teams. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of Scrum Master experience, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of Agile principles. CSM/PSM certification and prior public sector experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Actively identify and remove impediments to enable smooth progress and foster team productivity.
Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles, frameworks, and best practices.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement across delivery cycles and teams.
Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure backlog clarity, prioritization, and alignment with project goals.
Ensure transparency of progress through metrics, reporting, and effective communication with stakeholders.

Required Skills

3-5 years of proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments.
Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
In-depth understanding of Scrum, Agile values, and principles.

Preferred Skills/ Certifications

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
Experience working in hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments and supporting transitions.
Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally.
Exposure to SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks is a plus.
