Job Specifications
We are looking for a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer for a 6-month contract to hire role on site in Dallas Texas!
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
Drive the migration from CrowdStrike to Palo Alto security platforms, ensuring minimal disruption and robust security coverage.
Oversee integration and administration of Okta for SSO, MFA, and identity governance.
Leverage Cortex for advanced threat detection, investigation, and response.
Align security controls with Microsoft ecosystem tools (Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft Defender, O365 Security & Compliance).
Partner with IT and business stakeholders to ensure security requirements are embedded into projects and operations.
Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and playbooks.
Monitor, assess, and respond to security events, collaborating with SOC and incident response teams.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior security staff.
Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2-3 years in a lead or senior engineering role.
Strong background in IAM, endpoint security, and security platform migrations.
Experience with Okta, Palo Alto Cortex, and Microsoft security tools (Defender, Azure AD, Intune, Sentinel).
Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, and incident response workflows.
Strong understanding of networking, cloud security (Azure, AWS optional), and zero trust principles.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Relevant certifications a plus (CISSP, CISM, Palo Alto, Okta, Microsoft Security).
