Financial Analyst

Location: Etobicoke (fully onsite, parking provided)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (40hours/week)

Employment Type: Permanent, full-time

Overview

Our client, a national organization in the industrial property and manufacturing sector, is seeking a hands-on Financial Analyst to join their head office finance team. Working directly with the Controller, this role supports day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and process improvement within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Controller with financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities
Prepare and analyze financial data, budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics
Identify variances and provide insights to support management decision-making
Assist in audit preparation and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and property teams to streamline financial processes
Assist with upcoming system enhancements and the streamlining of financial workflows.
Take initiative in identifying and implementing process improvements

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or analytical roles
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, variance reporting, dashboards)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Comfortable working in a high-paced environment with shifting priorities
ERP systems experience is considered an asset
Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA designation or working toward CPA is considered a strong asset
