Remote contract. Regular Shift 8 - 5pm (EST)

Job Overview:

Prospect and The Wild are used by hundreds of customers every day to visualize their 3D models in VR and AR. Both products have Cloud and Web Components that support uploading, processing, browsing, and syncing these models while providing multiplayer capabilities, and Unity clients to visualize this data in VR across different devices.

We are looking for a developer with strong Software Engineering and DevOps experience to support, document and maintain these products. The ideal candidate will ensure continuous operation of critical software, creating comprehensive technical documentation that can be shared across the team, and improve deployment and software maintenance processes through implementing CI/CD best practices.

Responsibilities:

Work with the Infrastructure and Engineering teams to maintain these products, keeping them secure, bug-free and compliant with Platform policies.
Support our Customer Success team to troubleshoot customer issues and fix/patch software as needed.
Familiarize yourself with end-to-end architecture for both products. Reverse engineer and document system architecture which can be shared across the team.
Manage cloud infrastructure and drive DevOps best practices for maintaining our CI/CD pipeline for these products.
Perform regular patching, security updates and performance tuning of software products.

Minimum Qualifications:

BS Degree in Computer Science or similar
5+ years' experience in software development
Experience with full stack models, services, and cloud deployment
Comfortable with GCP or AWS, and proficient in either one
Comfortable with understanding full stack software using Go, Javascript and React
Proficiency in Databases, specifically NoSQL like DynamoDB and MongoDB
Comfortable with C# for desktop applications
Experience with either Jenkins or BuildKite
Experience with DevOps tools like – Docker, Terraform, Linux
Proficient in Git and GitHub knowledge
Excellent communication skills
Ability to be a self-starter

Preferred Qualifications:

MS Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field.
Proficiency in both GCP and AWS
Proficiency in gRPC and Protobuf
Basic game engine experience with Unity
Experience with TestFlight
Knowledge of installers
Knowledge of Jenkins, BuildKite and Bitbucket Pipelines
Knowledge of Electron

Top 3 must haves:

Expertise with Infrastructure and DevOps best practises in AWS and/or GCP
Some familiarity with software engineering, understanding and maintaining desktop and cloud based software applications
Comfortable with being a self-starter, and demonstrating ownership of supporting, maintaining and DevOps for two of our software product
