Job Specifications
The Financial Analyst will be a key contributor to the finance team, responsible for supporting the Head of FP&A in managing financials across the company. This role involves a blend of financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting, with a strong focus on collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate will be analytical and can take ownership of financial processes and execute on them from start to finish.
Responsibilities
Financial Modeling and Analysis: Update existing financial models to support long range planning, annual budgeting, and monthly forecasting processes. Analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers
Budgeting and Forecasting: Partner with business leaders to track departmental budgets and support the Head of FP&A with monthly forecasts.
Reporting and Presentations: Assist with the preparation of board and investor materials, including financial models and supporting analysis
Ad-Hoc Projects: Ability to take ownership and execute on ad hoc projects to support new business initiatives, investment decisions, and operational improvements
Business Partnership: Serve as a finance business partner to various departments, offering financial guidance and insights to support their decision-making
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas preferred
Comfortable working in financial models and managing budgets for business partners
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Can work in fast-paced environments with an interest in the media industry
Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to take ownership and work independently
Experience with NetSuite and FP&A tools is a plus
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely
