Job Specifications

Our client - Local Government - is seeking the addition of an experienced Platform Engineer (Azure) on an interim basis to help design, build, and secure the Council's cloud foundation.
Key skills/experience:
Experience with Terraform or Azure Bicep for enterprise-scale IaC deployments.
Proven ability to design and implement Azure Management Group hierarchies, subscription governance, and advanced Azure Policy configurations.
Strong background in Hub-and-Spoke network architecture, including VNet peering, UDRs, DNS integration, and Azure Firewall/NVA deployment.
Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipeline automation using Azure DevOps for infrastructure provisioning and release management.
Deep understanding of the Microsoft Cloud Security Benchmark and its enforcement via Policy-as-Code and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
Familiarity with centralized logging and monitoring using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400).
