Platform Engineer - Inside IR35
Hybrid (Sheffield or London - once every fortnight) | Up to £473/day | Contract until Sept 2026
We're seeking a skilled Platform Engineer with strong experience across AWS and GCP to support the build, optimisation, and operation of secure, scalable cloud platforms.
Key Focus Areas:
Build, test, and maintain cloud platforms across AWS and GCP
Design and operate networking, identity, storage, compute, and orchestration layers using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Develop pipelines, templates, and reusable modules for efficient, secure deployments
Embed security, compliance, and reliability best practices
Manage releases, onboarding, and ongoing platform operations
Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and automation
Requirements:
Proven hands-on experience with AWS and GCP
Strong IaC experience (eg Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
Solid understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Details:
Inside IR35 (client payroll - Employer's NI covered)
Hybrid: onsite in Sheffield or London once every fortnight
Up to £473/day
Contract runs until September 2026
