About The Role
Knight Frank is looking to hire a highly capable and adaptable DevOps & Platform Engineering Manager to lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of our Azure-based cloud and developer platforms.
Role
This role combines technical leadership with strategic stakeholder management, ensuring that multiple products, teams, and initiatives can scale efficiently, securely, and reliably within our Microsoft ecosystem.
The successful candidate will oversee a team responsible for infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and developer enablement, while balancing new project demands, technical debt, and ongoing operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of DevOps and Platform Engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, learning, and high performance.
Translate complex business and product requirements into actionable engineering workstreams.
Manage team workload and prioritization across competing demands, balancing new feature requests, platform enhancements, and technical debt reduction.
Drive transparency and efficiency in work intake, sprint planning, and delivery execution.
Stakeholder & Workload Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for multiple product and engineering teams across the organization.
Build strong partnerships with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, and Security/Compliance stakeholders to align priorities and expectations.
Triage and evaluate incoming work requests, define clear scope, and allocate resources based on team capacity and business impact.
Maintain visibility of ongoing work and ensure timely communication with all stakeholders on progress, risks, and dependencies.

Azure Cloud Infrastructure & Governance
Oversee cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and operations using Microsoft Azure.
Manage networking, identity, compute, and storage services following Azure best practices.
Ensure governance, cost control, and compliance via Azure Policy, Blueprints, and Landing Zones.
Develop scalable and resilient architectures supporting multiple product environments.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation
Drive automation through Bicep, ARM templates, terraform, and Azure CLI, ensuring reproducibility and consistency.
Define and maintain reusable IaC modules, ensuring security and compliance are embedded in every deployment.
Champion automation-first approaches to environment provisioning and configuration management.
CI/CD & Platform Enablement
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitLab.
Enable development teams through standardized build and release frameworks.
Integrate quality, security, and compliance checks into automated workflows.
Evolve the internal developer platform to improve velocity, visibility, and developer experience.
Reliability, Monitoring & Operations
Implement and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application In
