Network and Security Engineer
Location : Brussels
Languages : English AND French or Dutch
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain secure network architecture.
Configure, patch, and manage firewalls, proxies, and other network security devices.
Troubleshoot network issues and application flow problems.
Represent the network team in internal/external technical meetings and provide clear reporting.
Create technical documentation, manuals, and procedural guides.
Support network segmentation and secure Internet-accessible application services.
Profile:
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in complex, large-scale IT environments.
Deep knowledge of network protocols: IPv4/IPv6, HTTP(S), FTP(S), SMTP, SSH, SSL/TLS, BGP, HSRP, VRRP.
Hands-on experience with:
Palo Alto PanOS: firewalls, IDS/IPS, decryption, sandboxing (PCNSE certification preferred)
Cisco: Umbrella, Wi-Fi, ISE, IPSec
Algosec: Firewall Analyzer & Fireflow, ServiceNow integration
Automation Tools: Terraform, GitLab, Ansible
Daily network operations: configuration changes, patching, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Ability to translate security policies into actionable architecture and procedures.
Fluent in technical English; French or Dutch mandatory.
Strong documentation, project management, and team collaboration skills.
Network segmentation and secure Internet service deployment in financial institutions.
Involvement in requirement analysis, proof-of-concept, product selection, deployment, and documentation.
