About The Role

The Pricing Analyst reports into the Pricing Manager, and is as such a part of the Western European Pricing Team.

The purpose of this role is to help translate our corporate commercial and financial ambitions into the daily commercial discussions and to deal with our customers.

On a daily basis the Pricing Analyst collaborates with Account Managers to prepare and land the right deals with different customers in his/her scope.

As a pricing analyst, you develop competitive, accurate price proposals for the sales team using pricing models, market intelligence, and additional input from relevant stakeholders. An ideal candidate will be able to form strong relationships with the sales team and loves driving profitability in a fast-paced environment.

As this is a role in the commercial heart of Barry Callebaut, with many connections to different aspects of our operations, this function offers a great opportunity to deep dive into the world of Chocolate and Cocoa.

Key Responsibilities Include

Creating competitive price proposals for the sales team, analyzing historic price and margin levels to drive profitable growth for your business unit
Presenting proposals to sales, utilizing market and internal data to validate and justify proposals
Booking sales contracts upon agreement from customers to lock in business
Taking pricing ownership of assigned accounts in an independent and proactive way
Actively managing the contracts for your account portfolio in collaboration with sales
Utilizing open book pricing models, including commodity market coverage, margin analysis and proactive data management
Developing and managing effective and analytic reporting tools to support the business unit and the organization’s needs
Understanding the commodity market fundamentals and gathering in-depth knowledge on the chocolate manufacturing process in order to improve the pricing process
Actively managing pricing-driven projects and participate in projects impacting the team

About You

You have a Master's Degree or equivalent by experience. Most of all, you combine a good set of analytical skills with a commercial feeling and a proactive can-do attitude
You are customer-oriented and driven and you have a “hands-on” mentality. You show high attention to detail.
You can think strategic and conceptual, but you enjoy the operational, ad hoc, and sometimes hectic daily reality of a commercial environment.
You have the skills to communicate effectively with different stakeholder at different levels in an organization. You know how to explain complicated information in a conceptual and actionable manner.
You are able to establish good relationships with a diverse regional team
You are able to communicate effectively in English/Dutch and German, both written and verbal
The candidate is expected to be analytical, proactive, self-driven and possess excellent communication and problem solving skills
Stakeholder Management: The Pricing Analyst collaborates on a daily basis with Account Managers and other functions throughout our organization. The ideal candidate is a great relationship builder, and can bring messages in a compelling way, and manages to influence and motivate others in a positive manner.

This role is located in Wieze/Lebbeke, Belgium.
