Data Architect Advisor
About The Role
We are seeking a strategic and customer-focused Data Architect Advisor to join our Customer Advisory (Presales) team. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to customer and account teams, helping shape and communicate SAP’s data architecture vision. You will leverage your expertise in SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Business Data Cloud to design and articulate scalable, future-ready data architectures that support our customers’ digital transformation goals.
This is a presales role, focused on solution shaping, technical storytelling, and architecture advisory—not delivery or implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Solution Design
Partner with account executives and solution advisors to understand customer needs and craft tailored data architecture strategies.
Design and present high-level architecture concepts using SAP BTP, SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Business Data Cloud.
Translate customer challenges into data-driven opportunities using SAP’s intelligent data products.
Architecture Leadership
Define and communicate architecture roadmaps aligned with SAP’s innovation strategy across Cloud, Data, and AI.
Advise customers on transitioning from legacy SAP BW systems to modern cloud-based architectures, including lift-and-shift or converting to Datasphere and Business Data Cloud.
Ensure architectural integrity and scalability in proposed solutions.
Presales Strategy & Execution
Lead technical discovery and architecture workshops.
Create compelling presentations that highlight business value and technical feasibility.
Support RFPs, RFIs, and bid responses with architecture input and strategic guidance.
Innovation & Enablement
Continuously build expertise in SAP Business Data Cloud, data products, and intelligent apps.
Stay ahead of industry trends and SAP roadmap to ensure relevance and innovation in customer engagements.
Qualifications/Preferred Skills
Proven experience in cloud data platforms, analytics, AI integration, and data architecture, ideally with SAP BW and SAP Datasphere.
Strong understanding of data modelling, integration, and cloud data platforms.
Familiarity or willingness to build expertise in SAP Business Data Cloud, including data products and intelligent apps from an architectural advisory point of view.
Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to both technical and business audiences.
Customer-centric mindset with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
Experience in presales, solution advisory, or technical sales roles.
SAP certification in BW, Datasphere, or Business Data Cloud is a plus.
Fluent in English and Dutch or French.
