Matlen Silver has an immediate opportunity for a skilled Azure Architect. This position is a contract to fulltime position, based in Berkeley Heights NJ, and is onsite 5 days per week.

Pay scale: $95-100/hr W2

Job Description:

Senior Azure Architect

EFTPS Modernization Hiring Initiative
Architecture and hands on role – 60/40
Need an architect that is highly familiar with every platform of Azure, has used Azure extensively for at least 5 years but 10 years ideally
Leadership skills are essential - this person will act as the lead for other Architects on staff
Someone able to build up entire environment with little to no guidance
Excellent communication skills, able to talk to all levels of leadership and with engineers/tech folks – critical skill
Experienced with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC)
Security is extensive for this – familiarity with government level is major plus (FedRAMP, FISMA High)
Current Microsoft certifications are a plus

This position plays a critical role in designing solutions for a highly secure proprietary payments platform/system within the Government Solutions business unit. Responsibilities include working on complex systems and project issues while interacting with senior IT management and a demanding client.

Additional Duties:

• Work with development teams to provide estimates on tasks with complete timeline of project delivery

• Engage with senior management to develop technology strategy and drive implementation of the architecture roadmap

• Participate in broader areas of application development, infrastructure, security, deployment, unit and integration testing

• Understand desired business outcomes desired by customer and translate these to requirements for the solution, and recommend potential options

• Own the overall solution and ensure all components of a solution fit well, function and perform as expected, including availability, performance, and security

• Effectively articulate the solution to both internal stakeholders and customers
