Fujitsu is hiring a Solution Architect to join an exciting project with the EU Institutions in Brussels.
This role is ideal for an experienced architect with strong expertise in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) who wants to contribute to strategic IT studies and hands-on engineering within a highly professional environment.
What you will do
Lead architecture and technology assessments, considering user requirements, technology evolution, ergonomics, ecological footprint, scalability, maintainability, and cost.
Define, prepare, and execute tests and proofs of concept to validate solutions.
Design and implement new management and security policies.
Plan capacity based on usage trends and forecasts.
Draft technical specifications and support technical quality assessments.
Plan and supervise migration activities.
Oversee inspection and quality assurance during deployments.
Assess performance of solutions and recommend improvements.
Contribute to database implementation, customization, prototyping, programming, testing, quality control, support, training, and documentation.
What we’re looking for
Expertise in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
Certified knowledge of virtual desktop technologies, specifically VMware Horizon / EUC (supplier certifications highly valued).
Excellent knowledge of norms, standards, industry trends, and state-of-the-art implementation practices.
Proven experience in projects involving VMware Horizon solutions: architecture, technology selection, installation, configuration, testing, and operations.
Strong background in securing VDI infrastructures, enhancing manageability, and improving user experience.
