Job Overview:
We are seeking a senior DevOps Engineer with a strong coding background to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a professional with a solid foundation in data infrastructure, cloud-native architecture, and automation, combined with deep experience in compliance-driven environments such as those governed by HIPAA. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient data platforms and infrastructure, while also playing a key role in DevOps automation, cloud deployments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams across different operations.
Responsibilities:
Deploy and manage cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or similar).
Write and maintain automation tools for configuration management and environment provisioning (e.g., Ansible).
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Oversee containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
Implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud deployments in AWS and/or GCP.
Monitor systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
Design, build, and optimize robust, scalable data pipelines (batch and streaming).
Develop data integration solutions across various structured and unstructured sources.
Architect and manage cloud-based data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks.
Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance, particularly with HIPAA standards where applicable.
Build and orchestrate ETL/ELT workflows using Airflow, DBT, or custom pipelines.
Partner with analytics and product teams to deliver clean, reliable data for business use.
Implement HIPAA-compliant infrastructure and data handling workflows.
Collaborate with large, distributed teams, including developers, QA, product managers, and compliance officers.
Qualifications:
Strong coding background and experience in DevOps practices.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
Experience with automation tools like Ansible.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
Expertise in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or GCP.
Proficiency in monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
Experience in designing and optimizing data pipelines and integration solutions.
Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks.
Understanding of HIPAA compliance and data governance.
Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
Optional: Experience with VMware, networking storage, and HIPAA.

Pay Range: $120hr - $120hr on w2
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
