Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Security Software Development Engineer to join their growing cybersecurity team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building intelligent, automated, and scalable security solutions that leverage the latest in Google Cloud and AI/ML technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop security orchestration and automation solutions using the Google SecOps platform.
Build and maintain end-to-end log ingestion pipelines, ensuring accurate data parsing, normalization, and enrichment for effective SIEM analysis.
Partner with SOC analysts to create, evaluate, and fine-tune high-quality detection rules, analytics, and correlation searches.
Develop and maintain automation playbooks and workflows to enhance response times and streamline security operations.
Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into security processes, utilizing Google’s Gemini for Security Operations and other cloud-based AI tools for next-gen automation.
Produce detailed technical documentation and reporting to validate the performance and impact of security automation initiatives.
Collaborate effectively across teams, driving best practices and fostering strong, positive working relationships.
Work on complex, cross-functional challenges requiring analytical problem-solving and strategic thinking.

Required Qualifications:

5–8 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering, particularly in SIEM/SOAR solution development.
Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud service implementations.
Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and API-based integrations.
Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot security event data and optimize detection logic.
Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments with cross-functional collaboration.
Exposure to AI/ML frameworks and enthusiasm for applying these technologies in cybersecurity.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer or CISSP.
Hands-on experience applying AI/ML techniques to cybersecurity workflows or implementing AI-powered security solutions within cloud environments.
