Principal Solutions Architect - Contract Location: Glasgow (hybrid-working) Sector: IT/Cloud/Infrastructure Contract Type: Day Rate Contract, £550-£600 per day Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:
A Glasgow based Financial Services Client is currently seeking another highly experienced Principal Solutions Architect to join an existing team, leading the design and delivery of enterprise-level cloud and infrastructure solutions across a busy business area. This is a strategic, hands-on role ideal for an experienced Senior Architect with deep technical expertise and strong stakeholder engagement skills.Key Responsibilities will include:
Lead architecture design across Azure, AWS, Salesforce, and SaaS platforms.
Drive cloud-first strategies including IaaS, PaaS, and foundational services.
Collaborate with global and regional teams to align deployments with enterprise standards.
Represent infrastructure in solution design and governance forums.
Produce detailed architecture documentation for implementation and operations.
Communicate technical vision clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-suite
Required Skills & experience should include:Proven experience working as a Principal Architect or Senior Solutions Architect, supporting IT architecture and cloud transformation programs.
Deep expertise across at least 2 or more of the following - Cloud (Public/Private), Infrastructure, Networking, Security, SaaS, Virtualization, Storage, ideally with a focus on Cloud
Strong understanding of service integration, application architecture, and SaaS implementation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills is a MUST as always
