Our client is seeking a versatile and highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Engineer / Architect to join their team and play a critical role in safeguarding enterprise systems and data. This is a rare opportunity to contribute across architecture, engineering, and operations—designing secure systems, leading hands-on implementation, and strengthening day-to-day cyber resilience within a collaborative, growth-minded environment.
This role is for a Cybersecurity professional who has broad, well-rounded understanding of cybersecurity strategy, engineering, and operations, with the ability to connect technical execution to business risk reduction.
Term: Contract to hire
Location: Monrovia, CA (onsite 5 days a week)
Compensation: This job is expected to pay about 75-80/hour

What You’ll Do:
Design, implement, and support enterprise-wide security solutions across cloud and on-prem environments, spanning network, endpoint, identity, and data protection.
Serve as a technical escalation point and partner closely with IT infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to embed security into system design and daily operations.
Lead initiatives to enhance perimeter, internal, and email security; streamline SIEM/SOC workflows; and strengthen vulnerability management practices.
Support incident response and investigation activities, ensuring integration between monitoring tools, playbooks, and escalation procedures.
Continuously identify and drive improvements across Cybersecurity Engineering and Administration functions to elevate the organization’s overall security posture.
What Gets You the Job:
7+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience spanning multiple domains—network, endpoint, cloud, identity, and incident response.
Proven ability to design and operationalize enterprise-level security controls, balancing strategic architecture with tactical execution.
Strong background securing internal networks and endpoints, ensuring visibility, detection, and protection across diverse environments.
Hands-on expertise with identity and access management and email security technologies, enabling secure authentication and data protection across the enterprise.
Practical experience integrating and tuning SIEM/SOC platforms, optimizing alerting, and improving incident response workflows.
Track record of collaborating closely with infrastructure and cloud teams to embed security into core systems, applications, and processes.
