About the Role
We’re looking for a Director of Engineering to lead our largest and most strategically important engineering group. You’ll guide several development squads working on core parts of our platform balancing delivery for our customers, technical excellence, and team growth.
This role requires to work closely with the CTO, Product, and Platform leadership to turn strategy into clear technical and organizational outcomes. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on organizing teams, developing people, technical modernization, and driving reliable delivery, with a strong connection to how our work creates value for customers.
Responsibilities
Lead and support a group of engineering managers and senior engineers across multiple squads
Translate company-wide technology goals into clear plans and priorities for your teams
Define and evolve team structure, processes, and goals as the organization grows
Ensure high standards of reliability, performance, and quality in everything the teams ship
Partner with product and design to build solutions that solve real customer problems and deliver measurable impact
Guide architectural discussions and technical trade-offs, ensuring alignment with our long-term platform strategy
Use data to improve delivery predictability, quality, and engineering effectiveness
Qualifications
10+ years of experience managing 15+ engineers (direct and indirect reports) across distributed teams
Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Demonstrated success in leading technical modernization or digital transformation initiatives & in delivering complex projects through others, not just personal effort
Strong technical foundation across backend and frontend systems, with a solid understanding of modern software architecture, scalability, and performance
Strong grasp of modern engineering practices — CI/CD, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and scalable system design
Hands-on familiarity with technologies such as Java (BE) and JavaScript/VueJS (FE)
Skilled at coaching, developing talent, and building engaged, high-performing teams
Excellent communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical peers
A calm, pragmatic leader who can bring clarity in complex or ambiguous situations
Customer-focused mindset: able to connect engineering priorities to user outcomes and business value
Fluency in English
