Job Specifications

AWS Security Architect – Major Migration Program

Rate: Up to £450 GBP per day Inside IR35, across an initial 6 months contract engagement.
Location: Hybrid
Office Time: Only 2-3 days per month required in our clients City of London office.
Clearance: None Required

AWS Security Architect

We need an AWS Security Architect expert to lead the security architecture for a complex Data Center Exit and Application Migration to AWS.

This is a critical role focusing on compliance, resilience, and securing large-scale transformation for a client in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Implement: Secure AWS Landing Zones from the ground up.
Native Security: Integrate and manage core AWS services (e.g., IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, WAF).
Compliance: Enforce regulatory standards (GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
Automation: Embed security via IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
Strategy: Architect IAM policies and implement Zero-Trust principles.
Risk: Perform risk assessments and advise senior stakeholders on mitigation.
Monitoring: Establish logging and incident response playbooks.

Your Essential Experience:

Expert AWS Security: Deep expertise and experience in large-scale migration.
VPC & Network: Strong knowledge of network security and hybrid VPC design.
Experience: 8+ years in Security Architecture, with 3+ years in AWS Cloud Security.

Highly Desirable:

Certifications: AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or CCSP.
Sector: Experience in regulated environments (e.g., Public Sector).
