Salesforce Solution Architect
Job Description:
Overview
This role requires hands-on Salesforce Solution Architecture for the Allis 2025-2026 project, covering design, build, integrations, quality assurance, and release management. The goal is to deliver test-ready functionality with short feedback loops and phased go-lives. Key activities include documentation, knowledge transfer (SDF/UML, runbooks), and coaching internal teams.

Our client has the mission to develop a cohesive, government-wide information policy and to support and realize the transition of the Flemish government toward an information-driven administration. The agency's products and services are organized into programs to maximize synergy and optimize service delivery to government partners (VO). Business Context:
Division/Program: AGII - Allis (Gentle), 2025-2026: further development and stabilization.
Goal: Achieve more efficient service delivery, consistent files and reporting, and faster turnaround times.
Tasks & Responsibilities (in relation to the organization):
Translate business decisions into working Salesforce solutions.
Coordinate and align with Product Owners (PO) and process managers, and a small core of key users per sub-stream.
Inform decision-making (demos, options/impact analysis), and prepare for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and phased go-lives.
Ensure knowledge retention: documentation, runbooks, and handover to the internal team (management and support).
Technical Context
Deliver a scalable, maintainable architecture on Service Cloud/Experience Cloud.
Ensure stable integrations with VO building blocks/standards; maintain high performance and security.
Provide release- and test-ready deliveries with high quality and short feedback loops.
Applied Technologies:
Salesforce (Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Flow, Data Model, Permission Sets).
APEX/REST/SOAP, Platform Events (where useful); OAuth2/OpenID Connect.
DevOps/CI-CD (git-based; pipelines/deploy), monitoring & logging.
(Where relevant) reporting/dashboarding and light test automation.
Required Technical Knowledge & Experience:
Hands-on Solution Architecture on Salesforce: SDF/UML, data modelling, security (FLS/CRUD/Sharing).
Declarative first, then targeted code (Flows first; APEX/REST where necessary); integration patterns (sync/async).
Release Management & Quality: code review, unit/integration tests, UAT-triage.
CI/CD & branching strategy, sandbox management; performance and error handling patterns.
Experience within a government context (specifically AGII) is mandatory (standards, compliance, logging).
Required Skills and Experience
5+ years Demonstrable experience as a Salesforce Architect
Demonstrable experience with API Integrations (REST and SOAP)
Demonstrable experience with Cloud Architecture
Salesforce Certificate is ideal although not essential.
Demonstrable experience with APEX development
Demonstrable experience with the Salesforce Diagram Framework (SDF) & UML for solution design and decision logic
Demonstrable experience within the Public Sector
Demonstrable experience within the Flemish Government is ideal although not essential(Vlaamse Overheid)
Language requirement:
Dutch at European CEFR level C2 Fluent Dutch is essential.
Location:
Brussels Belgium 3 days per week with 2 days per week remote work possible, ideally candidates will already be based in Belgium.
