Position Summary

The Logistics Clerk plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate shipment of products to customers. Responsibilities include picking, packing, verifying orders, creating shipping manifests, and preparing outbound shipments. This role supports internal teams by managing inventory, processing documents, and handling logistics tasks with attention to detail and a customer-focused attitude.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

Create and manage current and future shipping manifests
Pick, pack, verify, and process customer orders using various shipping software systems
Consolidate packages based on customer destinations
Prepare and process small parcel shipments for personnel outside the Logistics team
Manage department inventory and conduct cycle counts
Alert Customer Care and Key Accounts about incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses
Submit Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings
Occasionally deliver packages to local customers and the Eastern Iowa Airport

Required Skills And Qualities

Must be able to exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and/or 10 lbs frequently
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software
Flexibility in switching between tasks while maintaining productivity
Ability to maintain professionalism and cooperation with team members
Capable of performing repetitive tasks consistently and accurately

Other Details

Prior experience in shipping or logistics preferred
Familiarity with shipping software is a plus

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other PC-based programs preferred
