Business Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL

70.00 - $78.502 W2 /hr (no 1099 or C2C)

Role is in office M-F, worker can take one day a week to work from home.

Position Summary

Document new finance and accounting processes due to the development of new systems. This role involves translating business objectives into efficient processes with appropriate controls. The position requires collaboration with the accounting team, project management, and IT development teams.

Job Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering and Analysis:

Participate in stakeholder meetings to gather and document requirements.
Analyze processes and systems to identify improvements.
Create detailed business analyses outlining problems and solutions.
Collaborate with process owners and developers for optimal solution design.

Documentation:

Prepare business requirement documents, use cases, and user stories.
Maintain standardized processes for requirement gathering.
Develop or update internal policy documents including SOX and KFC.
Collaborate with audit teams to review and update processes.

Testing and Validation:

Participate in testing new systems and controls to ensure they meet requirements.
Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess process effectiveness.
Support internal and external audit testing.

Job Requirements

B.S. in accounting, finance, or related field with 5 years of experience
Strong communication skills for presenting to senior management
Technical knowledge and competencies in business process automation
Proficient in document management for workflows and controls
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate across all organizational levels

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in financial services, accounting systems, or audit
Experience with policy, procedure, and internal control systems
