Business Analyst

Location: Hybrid – Lansing, MI (2-3 days onsite) LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY

Rate: $45–55/hr W-2 (No C2C)

Duration: Long-term contract

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Program Business Analyst with strong experience managing complex IT modernization efforts in a large matrixed environment. This role supports enterprise-scale delivery by coordinating requirements, scope, risk, and test management across multiple stakeholder groups and workstreams. The ideal candidate brings both business analysis and program coordination experience with the ability to support decision-making at the leadership level.

Responsibilities

Serve as the lead Business Analyst across multiple large workstreams within a modernization program.
Manage scope, risks, issues, deliverables, and schedules related to program-level activity.
Facilitate decision-making, program change briefings, and prioritization of enhancement requests.
Work with project managers, business leaders, and stakeholders to drive alignment and progress.
Coordinate and review program tasks and follow up on action items.
Track and facilitate change management and scope control across multiple teams.
Work within an Agile environment and support scrum ceremonies (grooming, planning, sprint reviews, standups).
Collaborate with software developers, SMEs, QA teams, and leadership on program strategy and solution delivery.
Support business readiness and ensure traceability across program documentation.
Provide structure, documentation clarity, and process oversight for program-level activities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree.
5+ years as a Business Analyst working on large-scale multi-team IT programs.
Proven matrix management experience – leading/coordinating with business, development, and testing teams.
5+ years of hands-on scope & requirements management, quality management, and test management processes.
Strong understanding and experience with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
Experience serving in a hybrid BA / Project Coordinator capacity at the program level, not just a single workstream.
5+ years of experience using project, test, and change tracking tools (Azure DevOps strongly preferred).
Exceptional communication, facilitation, coordination, and documentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous project activities within a broader program.
