Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Procurement Specialist to join their team and serve as a key player in the procurement of high-value and complex IT technology, software, hardware, and services. This role requires an expert negotiator with proven RFP sourcing experience and a strong ability to manage the full lifecycle of complex contracts.

Location: Onsite - Columbus, OH

Responsibilities

In this essential role, you will be responsible for executing and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, primarily for our technology-focused business units. Your key responsibilities will include:

Sourcing & Procurement: Source and procure technology software, hardware, and services with a high value or complex requirements.
Strategy & Analysis: Execute sourcing strategies based on category manager guidance and leading practices. Leverage market, supplier, and spend analyses to inform category strategies and competitive solicitations (e.g., RFXs).
Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate and lead cross-functional category teams during complex sourcing events.
Negotiation & Contracting: Develop negotiating strategy and lead negotiations. You must have experience redlining and negotiating contracts. Write the summary and details for basic to moderately complex contracts, including pricing, business requirements, performance criteria, terms and conditions, and any risk mitigations.
Relationship Management: Establish effective relationships with internal business partners and external suppliers to support category strategies and manage contract compliance and risk.
Risk Mitigation: Leverage deep contract knowledge to mitigate risks and maximize overall contract value.
