SQL Developer – Freelance

We are seeking a SQL Developer to join one of our customers for a long-term freelance assignment based in Ghent.

The consultant will be part of the central BI team responsible for ensuring that business users have timely, accurate, and actionable insights. You will work on the design and optimization of the data warehouse, build robust ETL and reporting solutions, and contribute to improving data flows and reporting accuracy across the organization.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain the data warehouse architecture across multiple layers
Build BI solutions integrating data from various source systems
Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL processes
Translate functional analyses into technical implementations
Develop, test, and document clean and maintainable code
Provide technical support for reporting and data-related issues
Ensure overall data quality, performance, and consistency

Profile

Proven experience with data modeling and data warehouse design
Strong knowledge of:
MS SQL Server Database Services
MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
MS SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS – Tabular)
MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Fluent in Dutch (English is a plus)

SENIORITY: Medior–Senior

START DATE: ASAP

DURATION: 12 months

CONTRACT: Freelance

LOCATION: Ghent Area (1 day/week on-site)

HOURS PER WEEK: 40

LANGUAGES: Dutch (English a plus)
