Workforce Planning & Analytics Lead

Location: Manchester (1 day per week onsite)

Contract: Inside IR35 | 18-month+ programme | Long-term extensions likely

We’re seeking an experienced Workforce Planning & Analytics Lead to join a global organisation with a highly professional, data-driven culture. This role sits at the heart of a multi-year transformation programme, shaping workforce planning and analytics capability across international business functions.

You’ll lead the design, delivery, and automation of workforce planning models, dashboards, and forecasting tools — providing accurate, real-time insight to senior stakeholders across People, Finance, and Operations teams. The role demands strong technical, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills and the confidence to influence decision-making at senior level.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, automate, and maintain global workforce forecasting and reporting tools.

• Deliver accurate headcount, cost, and attrition analysis to support business planning.

• Develop dashboards and scenario models to inform strategic workforce decisions.

• Partner with senior stakeholders to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.

• Lead data integrity, governance, and taxonomy improvement across systems.

• Support HR and Finance in building predictive analytics and advanced modelling capability.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in workforce planning, HRIS, or people analytics leadership.

• Advanced Excel and BI skills (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Power Query).

• Proven expertise with HR system reporting (Workday strongly preferred).

• Strong financial and analytical acumen — able to model headcount, cost, and utilisation.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Experience working in a structured, highly governed environment.

• Exposure to predictive or AI-driven analytics would be advantageous.

Why Apply?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking, global organisation with a mature People Analytics function, working alongside an exceptional team on a long-term programme with genuine impact.
