We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a major information services organisation in Belgium. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting a greenfield Data Warehouse initiative - bridging business and technical teams, refining requirements, and helping shape the foundation of a scalable, data-driven platform.

Position: Freelance Business Analyst - Data Warehouse
Duration: 12-month contract (with potential extension)
Day Rate: €(Competitive & Negotiable)
Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week)
Start Date: ASAP / November 2025

Core Responsibilities

Act as the main liaison between business stakeholders and data teams to gather, document, and validate requirements.
Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories for implementation.
Facilitate workshops and interviews to elicit and prioritise data and reporting requirements.
Collaborate closely with data engineers, architects, and analysts to ensure alignment with the overall data strategy.
Support and coach business users in defining and communicating their data needs effectively.
Contribute to Agile ceremonies, ensuring deliverables meet agreed acceptance criteria.
Help align the Data Warehouse roadmap with evolving business priorities.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Business Analyst on data-focused or BI projects.
Strong background in the telecommunications or related industries.
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and stakeholder management.
Experience working with technical data teams (engineers, architects, developers).
Excellent communication and facilitation skills - capable of bridging business and technical perspectives.
Fluent in French (spoken and written); English proficiency is an advantage.
Familiarity with modern data warehouse methodologies and cloud environments (specific tools or frameworks advantageous).
