Agility Partners is seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to join a leading financial services client. This is an exciting opportunity to work on new feature development, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives within an agile team. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver with deep expertise in Java and modern software engineering practices.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement new software features ensuring high performance, quality, and maintainability.
Collaborate within an agile squad to share knowledge, review code, and uphold engineering best practices.
Participate in developer communities of practice to drive consistency and innovation across teams.
Stay current on emerging technologies and contribute to solving complex technical challenges.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
5–15 years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in Java (8 or above).
Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and microservice architecture.
Skilled in Git/GitHub, Docker, and relational databases (SQL).
Familiar with Gradle build tools and version control best practices.
Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, problem-solving, and debugging.
Experience with AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Dynatrace/Splunk is a plus.
