Overview
We're seeking an experienced C# .NET Developer to join the client's BI and reportingDevelopment team within a leading global financial institution.
You'll be responsible for enhancing, maintaining, and supporting internal Business Intelligence (BI) systems built on the Microsoft .NET framework and integrated with SQL Server and Oracle databases.
This is a hands-on development and systems support role, working across London and New York teams to ensure reliability and performance of critical enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain C#/.NET applications used in BI and business reporting.
Analyse requirements and design scalable, maintainable software solutions.
Work with SQL Server and Oracle - writing and optimizing T-SQL/PL-SQL queries and stored procedures.
Support production systems and troubleshoot incidents (code fixes, scripts, configuration).
Collaborate with DBA, Infrastructure, and Network teams to maintain healthy environments (Dev, Test, Prod, DR).
Follow formal Change Control procedures and ensure smooth release coordination.
Manage deployment of applications via Citrix/IIS, ensuring uptime and compliance.
Participate in code reviews, QA, and documentation of technical designs.
What you should have:
Strong hands-on experience in C# and .NET Framework (WinForms and/or Web Applications).
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and software design principles.
Good knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle (T-SQL, PL/SQL).
Experience with Windows Server, IIS configuration, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
Ability to work across full SDLC - from requirements through to production support.
Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with technical and non-technical users.
Desirable Skills
Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD tools (eg Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
Experience in Agile environments.
Knowledge of network configuration, system performance tuning, or Citrix deployments.
Previous experience in banking or large-scale enterprise environments.
