This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) in Europe.

This role offers the opportunity to build scalable, high-performance backend systems in a fast-paced, innovation-driven fintech environment. You will work on domain-driven architecture, microservices, and RESTful APIs, contributing directly to systems that manage tokenized assets and high-concurrency workflows. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend, blockchain, and product professionals, you will ensure robust, secure, and maintainable solutions. The position combines technical leadership with hands-on development, offering exposure to cutting-edge cloud infrastructure, AI-assisted development, and decentralized finance (DeFi) applications.

Accountabilities

Design and implement robust backend architectures that balance maintainability and startup agility
Develop and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs optimized for high concurrency and performance
Contribute to automated deployment pipelines, observability, and monitoring systems
Write secure, testable, and maintainable code, leveraging AI-assisted development tools when appropriate
Monitor production systems to ensure stability, performance, and rapid incident response
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend, blockchain, and product teams, to deliver high-quality solutions
Mentor peers, share technical knowledge, and contribute to architectural and design discussions

Requirements

4+ years of experience building high-concurrency systems and APIs using GoLang (preferred) or Node.js
Hands-on experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and RESTful APIs
Proficiency with cloud platforms, especially AWS services like Lambda, Cognito, SQS, and Redis
Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
Experience writing automated tests, including unit tests, load tests, and integration tests
Skilled in debugging production issues through data analysis and validation
Experience with containerization, orchestration, and CI/CD tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and Terraform
Ownership mindset, speed, curiosity, result-driven, and entrepreneurial approach to work
Nice to Have:
Experience with Solana programs (Helius, Anchor, SPL token, Metaplex Core)
Previous integration of AI in development workflows
DeFi experience and familiarity with tokenized assets
Exposure to AWS Amplify or AWS CDK
Some front-end experience (e.g., React, Redux)
