Job Summary
The Senior Developer will serve as a technical leader in the design, development, and optimization of a high-performance Actuarial Modeling and Data Management Platform. This role works in close partnership with actuarial, IT, and vendor teams to ensure the platform can scale and adapt to complex modeling workloads, leveraging deep expertise in C++, Python, and modern compute architectures.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of core platform components using modern C++ (C++22+) and Python.
Collaborate with data teams to integrate actuarial models, data pipelines, and analytics tools.
Optimize platform for performance, scalability, and reliability in actuarial workloads.
Implement GPU acceleration, parallel processing, and innovative compute solutions.
Drive engineering best practices and mentor other developers.
Interface directly with actuarial stakeholders to align on platform needs.
Required Experience
Proven experience developing high-performance, data-intensive systems in C++.
Background in actuarial, risk, or financial modeling platforms.
Experience working with hybrid cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
Nice-to-Have Experience
Prior work with AI/ML, model orchestration, or compute frameworks.
Experience in large-scale platform modernization initiatives.
Required Skills
Expert-level C++ (C++22 or later) programming.
Strong understanding of actuarial/risk systems and large-scale modeling.
Familiarity with Python and ability to work across language stacks.
Deep knowledge of data integration in cloud/hybrid ecosystems.
Hands-on experience with GPUs, parallelization, and compute optimization.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience influencing architectural direction across engineering teams.
Prior mentoring or leadership of mid-level engineers.
