Founding Sales Development Representative

POSITION:

As a result of business expansion, we are seeking a Founding SDR with a natural flair for engaging with people, to become the first point of contact for potential clients and contribute to our growing success. In this role, you will be instrumental in identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospects, ensuring a robust pipeline of opportunities for our New Business team to convert into long-term clients. This is very much a founding SDR role, so successful candidate will be empowered to create processes, pick systems and set KPIs, with a medium-term view to move into an Account Executive role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identifying Target Accounts: Research and compile lists of potential clients matching our ideal customer profile
Executing Cold Outreach: Utilise emails, calls, and LinkedIn to initiate engaging conversations with prospects
Maximising LinkedIn: Leverage the founder's LinkedIn activity and connections to engage with and nurture relationships with prospects
Conducting Discovery Calls: Facilitate initial conversations to understand prospects' needs and qualify them as potential leads
Scheduling Appointments: Set up follow-up calls and transfer qualified leads to the founder for the next steps in the sales process
Log activity consistently and reliably in CRM (Hubspot)
Support the founder at relevant trade shows and events (3-4 a year)
Learn and understand the product whilst keeping up to date with the product roadmap.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in a sales, business development, or SDR role (preferably within agency or marketing services)
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Strong research and prospecting capabilities
Experience with LinkedIn for professional outreach and relationship management
A proven track record of overcoming objections and effectively qualifying leads
A proactive, self-driven attitude with a commitment to achieving and exceeding targets.
