Shirley Parsons have a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) – 66 kV, to support HV operations within a leading offshore wind farm environment.

This contract role offers the opportunity to work with a high-performing HV & Transmission Systems team, delivering safe, efficient, and compliant electrical operations across substations, turbines, and the wider network.

What you’ll do:

Perform HV switching operations, 66 kV turbine maintenance, and provide SAP coverage across substations.
Safely operate and manage the HV/LV network, including issuing safety documentation, isolation, earthing, switching, and system reinstatement.
Coordinate operational and safety procedures with the grid operator and act as Safety Coordinator/Authorised Person for boundary operations.
Support the HV Control Room, oversee contractors, and carry out equipment maintenance to manufacturer standards.
Assist operations management and OFTO reporting, while maintaining competence and ensuring secure, efficient development of HV/LV and mechanical systems.

What We’re Looking For – Essential:

HV Authorised Person certified up to 66 kV.
Completed Electrician Apprenticeship.
Experience as a Senior Authorised Person under a European Developer HV Safety Rules.
Physically fit with the ability to climb as required.
Flexibility with working patterns, including participation in on-call rotas.
Strong communication, planning, and reporting skills.

Desirable Skills

Experience within Wind Farms, Power Plants, Oil & Gas, or similar industries.
HV fault-finding and analytical expertise.
