SCHOOL VACANCY

St Mary’s C of E Primary School is seeking to recruit an exceptional Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our wonderful team and support the learning, well-being and development of our children. This role is based in Key Stage 1 and will involve providing individual pupil targeted support for pupils with SEND, enabling them to access learning and thrive in school.

We Are Looking For a Teaching Assistant Who Has

experience supporting primary-aged pupils, particularly in Key Stage 1 and those with SEND
experience or understanding of supporting neurodiverse children and the ability to adapt strategies to meet individual needs
patience, resilience and a calm, nurturing approach
the ability to provide focused, consistent support to help children access learning and develop independence
strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team
the capacity to build positive relationships with children, staff and families
high expectations of behaviour, progress and personal conduct
a willingness to uphold and contribute to our Christian vision and values

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We require the successful applicant to undertake an enhanced Criminal Record check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is subject to the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009 and as such shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a Disqualification Declaration. Any information supplied will be discussed at interview.
