Job Description

Our Global Data Center Security & Safety team is responsible or protecting LinkedIn’s datacenters with innovative, resilient physical security and safety measures that ensure trust, safeguard our infrastructure and people, and empower global innovation, guided by transparency, integrity, and excellence.
As part of our efforts to deliver on this vision, we have created a new role to synchronize and coordinate our Data Center Security & Safety programs. The Sr. Manager, Data Center Physical Security & Safety will serve as a member of the Data Center Physical Security and Safety (DPSS) Leadership team, reporting to the Director, Global Data Center Physical Security & Safety.
Responsibilities
Supports team members responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring controls to treat risks to infrastructure, business, people, and assets (e.g., physical security, environmental health and safety, site security). Supports safety and security systems and design.
Leads the development and distribution of written safety and security requirements for teams and stakeholders.
Influences the development of a strategic vision and service model to improve safety & security operations.
Provides guidance to teams that partner across LinkedIn with various functional stakeholders and vendors to provide input related to area of expertise for programs and projects.
Develops and coaches teams to execute procedures, processes, and policies to ensure LinkedIn meets required codes and regulations.
Partner with third party vendors to develop and oversee the implementation of the security & safety programs at the site level.
Develop and implement physical design standards, project management, maintenance performance standards, and commissioning requirements to align with industry best practices for data center environments.
Design, implement and monitor processes and procedures within the data center physical security and safety program to address identified risks related to collocated and single occupancy leased data centers.
Establish and maintain policies, procedures and operational requirements related to asset protection, access management, security system design & monitoring, alarm response, data hall screening, and incident response.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 10+ years of experience in datacenter physical security, datacenter physical security vendor management, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Security, Risk Management, or related field AND minimum 10+ years of experience in physical security, risk management, or related field OR equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience working in a data center environment.
5+ years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports
Preferred Qualifications
Security certification (e.g., Certified Protection Professional, Physical Security Professional, , Certified Threat Manager).
4+ years of experience with vendor management.
4+ years of experience in critical incident management.

The pay range for this role is $134,000 – $220,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
