This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the development and maintenance of high-performance backend systems powering a global trading platform. You will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and real-time services, supporting innovative features and blockchain integrations. Accountabilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services and APIs using Node.js for a complex, high-availability platform
Implement new products, features, and integrations to improve user experience and expand platform capabilities
Ensure scalability and performance of backend systems to support growing global user traffic
Apply best practices in security to protect platform integrity and customer data
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, blockchain engineers, and operations, to deliver end-to-end solutions
Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Contribute to platform architecture and system design discussions to ensure maintainable and robust solutions
Requirements
Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript with proven experience in backend development
Experience with microservices architecture and designing scalable backend systems
Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, e.g., MySQL and MongoDB
Understanding of security principles and secure coding practices
Experience integrating with blockchain technologies is highly desirable
Familiarity with high-availability systems and distributed computing concepts
Knowledge of additional languages such as Ruby, Rust, or C++ is a plus
Experience with messaging queues, caching, and job queue systems (e.g., Redis)
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
