Your Mission

As Commercial Director for Italy, you will lead Digitrips’ local commercial strategy and operations, driving growth through strategic partnerships, business development, and market expansion. Reporting directly to the VP International Growth, you’ll play a hands-on leadership role, managing the in-market team, executing high-impact initiatives, and representing DigiTrips within the Italian travel and technology ecosystem.

This role combines strategic oversight with direct commercial execution.

What You Will Do

Lead Digitrips’ commercial activities in Italy, setting market priorities and delivering on business targets.
Represent Digitrips externally with clients, partners, and industry associations to enhance brand visibility.
Identify, negotiate, and secure new partnerships across travel & hospitality, loyalty & benefits, financial services & e-commerce
Manage and coach in-market teams, embedding our sales methodology and operational processes.
Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and collaboration.
Ensure strong pipeline discipline, accurate reporting, and effective cross-team communication.
Deliver agreed revenue, margin, and partner retention targets while maintaining a diversified commercial portfolio.
Provide market insights and competitor intelligence to inform product & marketing strategy.
Collaborate closely with central functions to ensure local alignment.

Revenue and margin delivery (TTV / GMV)
Pipeline quality and conversion rate
New partner acquisition and activation
Partner retention and satisfaction (renewal rate, NPS, or volume growth)
Revenue diversification
Contribution of Italy to overall regional growth

What We Expect From You

Proven track record (10+ years) in commercial, business development, or partnership leadership roles within travel, hospitality, or loyalty sectors.

Strong understanding of the Italian market dynamics and local travel distribution landscape.

Experience managing teams and driving performance through coaching and structured processes.

Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken). Other European languages are a plus

Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements and manage multiple stakeholders.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international, and cross-functional environment.

A results-oriented mindset with the ability to balance short-term delivery and long-term strategy.

Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills with a partnership-driven mindset.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with commercial and financial acumen.

A collaborative, proactive approach aligned with DigiTrips’ sales methodology and commercial excellence framework.
