Job Opening: Business Analyst II (3-Month Contract)

Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite/Hybrid as required)

⏱ Duration: 3 Months

We are seeking a Business Analyst II with 2–4 years of experience in workflow optimization and foundational project management. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who thrives in fast-paced, startup-like environments and enjoys building structure, improving processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

About the Role

You’ll partner closely with PMs, TPMs, and cross-functional stakeholders to streamline workflows, manage backlogs, document processes, and support collaboration tools like Monday.com, Jira, Asana, and Confluence/Wiki platforms. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to balance independent tasks with team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Manage product backlogs and customer tickets, ensuring timely follow-ups
Optimize and build workflows within Monday.com
Create dashboards and monitor workflow performance
Work with PMs/TPMs to forecast needs and outcomes
Support the setup and maintenance of Confluence/Wiki documentation
Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs
Write clear process descriptions, requirements, and functional documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams while also executing independent work

Required Skills & Experience

2–4 years of Business Analyst experience, focused on workflow creation and optimization
Strong understanding of end-to-end project management processes
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
Hands-on experience with Asana, Jira, and Monday.com
Bonus: Experience with Confluence or other Wiki platforms
Startup environment experience preferred (over big tech)
Ability to take direction, work independently, and bring new ideas to the table

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
