Are you a delivery-accountable Scrum Master who thrives in structured, compliance-driven environments? Do you excel at balancing agile principles with governance standards while maintaining team velocity?

We're seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead delivery within a scaled agile (SAFe) framework for a long-term mission in Brussels.

The Role

As Scrum Master, you'll take full ownership of sprint and release delivery while ensuring governance standards are consistently applied throughout the development lifecycle. You'll work closely with your team, Tech Leads, and the Release Train Engineer to deliver high-quality releases on time.

Your Core Responsibilities:

Delivery Leadership

Own sprint/release commitments - ensuring scope, quality, and timing targets are met
Facilitate agile ceremonies with strong emphasis on outcomes and delivery risks
Identify, manage, and escalate blockers that could jeopardize delivery
Monitor progress via Jira dashboards, burn-downs, and delivery KPIs

Documentation & Traceability

Produce and maintain technical/functional documentation (specifications, architecture notes)
Ensure full traceability linking requirements, stories, defects, tests, and releases
Lead document review and approval cycles with stakeholders
Consolidate inputs from developers, testers, and architects into structured deliverables

Governance & Quality Assurance

Enforce quality gates, Definition of Done, and test coverage standards
Support release readiness and handover to testing/DevOps teams
Guarantee compliance with internal, contractual, and regulatory requirements
Maintain knowledge repositories (Confluence/SharePoint)

Continuous Improvement

Capture lessons learned and integrate into future delivery practices
Coach team on delivery excellence, accountability, and ownership
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team

What We're Looking For

Must-Have:

5+ years as Scrum Master with proven delivery ownership track record
SAFe certification and practical experience working within Release Trains
Strong documentation skills - ability to produce technical/functional specs
Expert-level Jira proficiency (workflows, dashboards, traceability)
Experience in regulated/compliance-heavy industries (financial services, pharma, public sector, telecom)
Ability to enforce governance standards while maintaining agile velocity
Experience with ALM tools and requirements traceability
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Strong Plus:

Confluence/SharePoint administration experience
DevOps collaboration and release management background
PRINCE2, ITIL, or PMI-ACP certifications
Technical background or ability to understand architecture discussions
Experience in audit preparation and compliance reporting
