Job Title: Optimisation Senior Project Manager
Contract Length: 6 months
Engagement Type: Umbrella or PAYE
Location: London

Job Overview: Responsible for overseeing the migration of applications from legacy data centres to the new retained application hosting environment. This role involves detailed planning, coordination with various stakeholders, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to business operations.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead the design, planning and implementation of application migration projects.
Coordinate with IT teams, business units, and external vendors to ensure successful migrations.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including migration plans, risk assessments, and progress reports.
Manage the project budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and costs are controlled.
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with application migrations.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards throughout the migration process.
Provide regular updates to senior management and other key stakeholders on project status.
Facilitate training and support for users on new systems post-migration.

Key Skills
Experience of delivering projects from initiation through to transition into service.
Extensive experience of technical delivery within highly regulated environments, ensuring strict compliance to technology policies and standards
Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written and verbal; ability to manage and influence decisions at all levels and effective people management
Experience of presenting at Senior Stakeholder level and can lead complex projects.
Experience of Application Migration and Infrastructure decommissioning projects
Ability to prioritise work, and address conflict.
Good analytical and problem-solving skillsets with a pragmatic and tenacious attitude to seek out resolutions
Strives for continuous process improvement.
Able to maintain professionalism, prioritise effectively and demonstrate flexibility within a mission-critical environment
Have an industry recognised project management qualification, ideally Prince 2, APM Practitioner or Certified Scrum Master
Practical understanding of the ITIL approach to Change, Incident and Problem.
The team are currently delivering in Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid (combination of both) so candidates with agile experience would be advantageous.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a project manager in IT.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and software development life cycle.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or IT services (e.g., ITIL) are a plus.

Working Conditions:
Remote work as per company policy.
Standard working hours with additional hours as required to meet project milestones.

Physical Requirements:
Primarily a desk-based role; however, site visits may be required during the project lifecycle.
