Role Title: Apigee Java Developer

Location: Knutsford- 2-3 days onsite

Role Description:

We are seeking a skilled Apigee Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade APIs using Apigee Edge or Apigee X. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java, RESTful services, and API gateway solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement RESTful APIs using Java (Spring Boot, JAX-RS, Hibernate).

Develop API proxies, policies, and shared flows in Apigee.

Integrate backend microservices with Apigee API Gateway.

Ensure API security using OAuth2, JWT, API Keys, etc.

Monitor and optimize API performance and scalability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams for API lifecycle management.

Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues.

Document API designs, configurations, and development processes.

Required Skills:

Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.

2+ years of hands-on experience with Apigee Edge or Apigee X.

Experience with API security standards (OAuth, JWT).

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins).

Good understanding of JSON, XML, and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.

Experience with Postman, Splunk, and other API testing/troubleshooting tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and microservices architecture.

Knowledge of API versioning, logging, and error handling.

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
